Privacy Notice & Website Disclaimer

Who operates this website

This is Rachit Mishra’s personal website, rachitmishra.in, based in Gurugram, India. For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact Rachit Mishra at [email protected]. This notice explains how information is handled when you browse the website, send an enquiry, comment or subscribe to Brands, Reputation & Beyond.

Contact enquiries

The contact form collects your first and last name, email address, subject and message. Phone number and address are optional. This information is used to receive and respond to your enquiry, maintain relevant correspondence and protect the service against abuse. A contact enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. Please do not send passwords, payment details or other sensitive or confidential information through the form.

Messages are delivered through Microsoft 365. FluentSMTP records email delivery information; its current website log retention setting is 14 days. Mailbox correspondence is retained separately for responding to enquiries and maintaining relevant records.

Newsletter subscriptions and consent

The newsletter signup collects your email address. Brevo processes subscriptions, confirmation emails, newsletter delivery and subscription status on behalf of Rachit Mishra. Your email is transferred to Brevo when you submit the signup form. You must confirm your email address using the confirmation email before receiving newsletter campaigns. The newsletter is a monthly roundup about brand strategy, reputation, communication and AI in marketing.

Signing up is optional. You may withdraw newsletter consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in a newsletter email or by contacting [email protected]. Withdrawal stops future newsletter marketing; it does not affect processing already carried out. Following an Instagram account, connecting on LinkedIn or subscribing to a LinkedIn newsletter does not automatically subscribe you to this email newsletter.

Subscription records may include confirmation and consent history, timestamps, technical delivery data and unsubscribe status. Where enabled, email measurement can record delivery, opens and link clicks; open data may be affected by email software privacy features. Brevo’s handling of information is described in its privacy policy.

The previous website signup used Noptin. That plugin has been disabled, while legacy subscription and unsubscribe records remain stored in the website database. They are not automatically enrolled in Brevo by this change. Unsubscribe and suppression records may be retained to prevent unwanted resubscription.

Browsing, cookies and advertising

The website and its hosting provider may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps and error logs for operating, securing and diagnosing the service. WordPress uses cookies for login and other website functions.

The website includes Google measurement tags and Google AdSense advertising code. These services may process device identifiers, cookies, page activity and technical information to measure usage and deliver or measure advertising, according to their settings and applicable requirements. Google explains this in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can manage cookies through your browser and manage advertising preferences through Google’s controls. Blocking cookies may affect some functions. Consent to the newsletter is separate from any consent required for analytics or advertising.

Comments and external services

When comments are available, WordPress collects the submitted information, IP address and browser user-agent for comment management and spam detection. Approved comments can be public. Embedded signup forms, security tools and external content may make requests to their providers when loaded. Links to LinkedIn, Instagram and other sites lead to services with their own privacy practices.

Sharing, storage and security

Information is handled by service providers needed to operate the website, hosting, email, security, analytics and advertising services, including Brevo, Microsoft and Google. Providers may process information outside India under their applicable terms and safeguards. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to address abuse, security incidents or legal claims.

Records are retained for the purpose for which they were collected, relevant correspondence, consent and suppression records, security or applicable legal obligations. Retention varies by record type and provider; backups may retain earlier copies until rotated. Reasonable access and security measures are used, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your requests and complaints

You may contact [email protected] to ask about your information, request access, correction or deletion, withdraw newsletter consent or raise a complaint. Where applicable law provides additional rights, you may exercise those rights through this contact. Reasonable verification may be required before acting on a request. Records may be retained where needed for an applicable obligation, security or suppression; any relevant limits will be explained. You may also contact a competent regulator where applicable law provides that option.

This website and newsletter are intended for a professional adult audience, not directed at children. If information about a child has been submitted, please contact [email protected] so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.
